Speaking and Technical Background
I have been building technical solutions for 12 years now, and since Jan 2011 I have been leading DevriX – a distributed WordPress development agency building SaaS solutions and large WordPress-driven platforms.
In addition to my engineering and management background, I have over 10,000 hours on stage – teaching courses, leading workshops and presenting and seminars, conferences and other events in Europe, the US and the Arab world.
I am a WordPress Core Contributor, Sun Certified Java Programmer and mile2 Certified Secure Web Application Engineer. I regularly speak about WordPress, leading distributed teams, various technical challenges, software development, and other areas related to WordPress, remote working, freelancing and management. In addition to my tech background I’m Inbound Marketing and Inbound Sales certified by HubSpot, and taken different certification courses on risk management, project and team management, as well as other “people-skills” activities.
I have presented at over a hundred events – courses and conferences – and educated people from different industries with varying level of experience. Some of the companies and organizations who trusted me to deliver their training courses:
I hired Mario as developer and trainer in the National Academy for Software Development in 2006 when our team was expanding to match the growing need of skilfull developers in Sofia. I was impressed how fast Mario become one of our best trainers. Mario has great passion for learning new technologies and for explaining the technology to the students. He has tallant for being speaker.
Svetlin Nakov, Training Manager at Software University
We hired Mario on an emergency training/consulting job recently for 3 weeks and he was simply superb! He was polite, punctual, responsive, and very effective in a Job with Aramco Oil. I will hire him again and will expect nothing less than the best. Thanks Mario!
Raymond Friedman, CEO at mile2
Mario was my Java SE trainer at NASD in 2007. From the present perspective, I can state that his approach and skills then were converging to those I deem are possessed only by best trainers. He is friendly in his approach to the trainees. There was no actual boundary “I – teacher, you – students” that I could make notion of. He is also very patient. I can not recall he ever skipped a question, not only mine but of the whole group I was training with.
Mihajlo Anđelković, Software Engineer
I have worked with Mario on establishing a training program for engineers in our Quality Engineering department. Training was for Basics of Java and General Computer Science Algorithms and Datastructures. Mario was able to quickly understand what we are trying to achieve, gave good suggestions for structure of the course, prepared all materials and excercises and led the course perfectly.
During the course he showed great attitude towards his trainees and thus inspired them to learn the material as opposed to just teach the material. He possesses an unique characteristics to establish personal relations with each one of students and is able to understand the needs and help him/her.
As a conclusion I would definitely recommend Mario to everyone needing professionally led trainings in computer science area.
Georgi Rusev, former Training Manager at VMware
The first time I met Mario was when I was looking for a trainer to deliver a course at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN). Since he did a good job and my colleagues were very satisfied of his work, further course was planned. Mario is an excellent trainer and maintains a high level of professionalism. I am glad to know active and reliable people like him.
